Texas cop fatally shot while serving warrant, suspect in custody


City officials said the officer, identified as Kenneth Copeland, 58, was serving a warrant in the El Camino Real subdivision along with other officers when the suspect shot the officer multiple times. According to Chief Stapp, Copeland was wearing his ballistic vest, and the bullets did not penetrate it. The shooting happened near Bowie Elementary School located at 4020 Monterey Oak said police.
