On Monday, investigators released security video of the incident and images of the suspect as well as a replica of the crossbow weapon used in the attack. The victim, who was struck in the chest, survived and managed to call 9-1-1 herself.
The department said it released the video in the hopes that someone may recognize the suspect.
"When the victim answered the door they had a brief conversation". After a short conversation, the suspect then shot the victim with an arrow from a crossbow that was hidden inside of the box.
At the press conference, police brought a camouflage crossbow believed to be similar to the one in the attack.
Police appear to have edited the video to avoid showing the exact moment when the crossbow was sacked.
The vehicle is a dark coloured pickup truck and it arrived in the area of the residence minutes before the attack took place and fled the area minutes after.
The front door appears to slam closed behind him. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she has remained for months.
"The injuries she sustained were absolutely devastating", said Det. "It involved damage to a lot of her internal organs", Kettles said.

"Her life will never be the same".
Police in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, have described the attempted hit as a 'premeditated, targeted and isolated attack'. "Comments that were made to the victim by the suspect indicate that [she was targeted]", Superintendent Raymor said in a press conference.
"There are potential motives that we have established". "I can't speak to those at this point in time". Kettles said the shoes and baseball hat worn by the suspect were unique - and the suspect did not hide his face, giving investigators a number of potential clues.
"I would encourage people just to pay particular attention to all of these pieces in the photo".
"His face does not appear to be covered", Kettles said. Police said it's possible the suspect was wearing some sort of head covering underneath the baseball hat, such as a wig.
The day following the attack, forensic investigators searched the house and collected evidence including an arrow believed to have injured the woman as well as surveillance footage of the suspect and incident.
