It cuts $845 billion, nearly a trillion dollar cut in Medicare, and nearly a quarter trillion, $240 billion cut in Medicaid. Why?

U.S. Rep. Bill Foster, D-Naperville, pointed to the budget's call for cuts to scientific research as unsafe to the nation's reputation as a leader in scientific research and innovation.

WASHINGTON-The White House's top budget official defended the president's new budget proposal on March 12, saying that "the problem is not that American tax is too little; it is that Washington spends too much".

USA president Donald Trump's 2020 budget proposal released Monday is unlikely to pass in the Democrat-controlled House and is set to create yet another major political battle, experts have said. Maya MacGuineas, president of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, applauded the administration's efforts to tackle these inefficient programs.

The administration argues that the budget doesn't cut Medicare benefits to seniors but makes better use of taxpayers' dollars and helps reduce Medicare spending by lowering prescription drug costs. In the end it couldn't pass a Republican-controlled Congress.

Acting White House budget director Russell Vought said Monday that border security is "deteriorating by the day", and pointed a finger at Democrats for continuing to refuse the president's requests to fund the wall.

The Democrats also denounced Trump's proposed cutbacks in education, community development, student loans and free school meals for low-income students.

Trump's budget is widely seen as a dead letter on Capitol Hill, where the Democratic-majority House of Representatives will kill it, but Trump's proposals are likely to follow him into his 2020 presidential reelection campaign.

Kelly was freed from Cook County Jail for the second time last week after an anonymous bailer posted $160,000 for his freedom. In the documentary, Joycelyn and Azriel's parents alleged their daughters are victims of the disgraced singer's brainwashing.

"Overall, this is a really fiscally irresponsible budget that will take us backwards", she went on.

Democrats are accusing President Donald Trump of going back on his campaign promise to protect Medicare after he introduced a 2020 budget that calls for steep cuts in Medicare payments to hospitals.

The proposed Medicare cuts are another issue. The department's total gross discretionary funding would go down to $44.1 billion in 2020 from this year's $52.8 billion.

Trump's budget also includes other provisions - such as medical liability reform and drug industry changes - that would indirectly affect Medicare and bring federal savings down to roughly $515 billion, Goldwein said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) made it clear that they would not approve the wall money. There are "many things in it that are harmful to working class voters and very few, if any, Democrats will find it appealing", he said. "This budget will balance in 15 years".

According to critics, the White House's budget proposal sets high expectations for economic growth.

"These cuts in the Trump budget aren't a tightening of the belt. And it's not fair to the people that have been paying in for years and now all of the sudden they want to. cut".
