Breaking Bad movie is a direct sequel, to premiere on Netflix

The logline, reported by the Albuquerque Journal last fall, follows the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom. After Netflix added the show, however, ratings for Breaking Bad began to increase.

Sources tell The Hollywood reporter that Netflix has been given first-run rights to the project, with AMC set to air it after.

Netflix and AMC did not immediately respond to a request for comment or confirmation.

A film about Jesse Pinkman, Breaking Bad's troubled underling of meth boss Walter White, will return in a feature film to air first on Netflix.

The report also claims that the script is being shot as a feature-length movie, although this is yet to be confirmed. The Breaking Bad series aired originally on AMC, with seasons subsequently made available for streaming on Netflix. "Not only are we standing up here, I don't think our show would have even lasted beyond season two. It's a new era in television, and we've been very fortunate to reap the benefits".

While audiences have been given gritty new perspectives on the world of Breaking Bad thanks to prequel series Better Call Saul, there are still so many questions a follow-up film could answer.

Joe Root's retort was natural, organic and rather wonderful
Speaking after the day's play, Root was keen to move on from the incident but conceded Gabriel might regret his actions. Footage from the match caught the Englishman telling Gabriel: "Don't use it as an insult".

On the one hand, you would think that with Breaking Bad, it would be good to leave well enough alone, but Gilligan and his writers have proved themselves with the critically acclaimed spinoff Better Call Saul, and a movie sounds like a better way to continue Breaking Bad than a series.

Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White in Breaking Bad, also confirmed that a sequel flick was in the works.

Production is set to finish this month in New Mexico.

Bryan Cranston, who played White, confirmed a Breaking Bad film was coming in an interview past year.

This is the second spin off of the hit show following the success of Better Call Saul, which now has four seasons.
