Disney will own a majority stake in Hulu once it receives regulatory approval for its purchase of film and television businesses from Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox Inc, which is expected in the coming months. On Monday, Hulu announced a new partnership with Marvel Television that would produce four new animated shows based on obscure-but-beloved comic characters: M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, Tigra & Dazzler, and Howard the Duck. Similar to the deal Marvel previously struck with Netflix, these four shows will unite in a crossover event called The Offenders. "And the duck. Brought together because no one else could but Marvel Television on Hulu", said Loeb in a statement. Back in 1986, George Lucas made a live action remake of the tale. Finally, Tigra & Dazzler comes courtesy of writers and executive producers Erica Rivinoja (Girls Trip and South Park) and Chelsea Handler.
M.O.D.O.K.: "Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. centers around an egomaniacal supervillain with a really big head and a really little body, who struggles to maintain control of his evil organization and his demanding family". With the hope of his "Gal pal" Beverly, Howard hopes to return home before he can be cooked by the evil Dr. Bong.
Hit-Monkey: "Marvel's Hit-Monkey tells the tale of a wronged Japanese snow monkey, mentored by the ghost of an American assassin, as he cuts a wide swath through the Tokyo underworld in this darkly cinematic and brutally amusing revenge saga".
Premier League 2018-19: Reviewing the three pivotal matches of Round 26
"It's a very big challenge for them because I think Manchester City are really putting the gas on the peddle". The rise of Birmingham City has coincided with the appointment of Garry Monk in early April past year .
Marvel's Tigra & Dazzler Show focuses on the two title characters, who are "woke superheroes" (one of whom is a cat person, while the other is a light-powered pop singer) as they try to break big in Los Angeles. Jeph Loeb serves as Executive Producer, while writers and additional Executive Producers for the project will be announced at a later point. Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K, Hit-Monkey, and Tigra and Dazzler have all been green-lit according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Smith and Willis will both write and executive produce the new series, which features the titular Howard the Duck stuck in a world that he never made. "We're so excited for what's to come!" But if you haven't been keeping up with Smith's comics work, rest assured that Howard's animated turn won't revolve around ponderous dialogue at a New Jersey mall.
