Buttigieg: Green New Deal resolution 'the right beginning'

Hockett was apparently referring to the series of tweets the Democratic lawmaker made on Thursday, when she posted and criticized parody versions of the Green New Deal FAQ, including one that said, effective immediately, "males should urinate into an empty milk jug instead of a toilet".

"I don't agree with us having to take away flying in the air, or taking away coal and things like that".

But perhaps the most controversial point of all was a plan to provide "economic security" for those "unwilling to work". Ocasio-Cortez's chief of staff said this was merely a draft and that it was published by accident.

"We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren't sure that we'll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast", Ocasio-Cortez said.

Since its unveiling, the plan has garnered noticeable support from young Americans on social media.

While Cortez did not specify an exact valuation for her latest Green New Deal, she did add that the amount required would be "incomprehensibly large".

"I like that it's progressive, that it's gonna push the world forward".

Priyanka Gandhi makes political debut in Uttar Pradesh
From 21 seats in the 2009 general election in Uttar Pradesh, Congress' tally fell to just two in 2014. The Hindu nationalist BJP calls Priyanka's appointment an extension of Congress's "dynastic politics".

"If we didn't do that, we'd be killing ourselves basically".

His supporters in the meantime have been calling out the advocates of the proposal as hypocrites, who just pretend to care about climate while flying private jets, going as far as calling the Green movement "the new Red".

"Rep. Suozzi supports the Green New Deal", said Jay Bhargava, Suozzi's press secretary.

"It doesn't sound like something I would be behind".

"I think one way that the right does try to mischaracterize what we're doing, as though it's like some kind of massive Government takeover", she told MSNBC's Chuck Todd in an exclusive interview.
