Game of Thrones unveils season 8 premiere date, new teaser trailer

14 January 2019

HBO has released the first teaser for the highly-anticipated final season of Game of Thrones, announcing the series' official return date on the premium cabler.

The premiere date was unveiled in a new teaser trailer, which aired prior to tonight's season three debut of True Detective.

Game of Thrones returns - we can finally say it - April 14, 2019 with the first of six episodes of the final season. The stunt reflects how the pay channel - like CNN, a unit of WarnerMedia - intends to leverage its most-watched show and "Thrones'" avid fan base to help launch other programs leading up to and during its finishing run.

Kyler Murray is about to Create an NFL-MLB Bidding War
The A's have a lot invested in Kyler Murray , seeing as how they drafted him with the ninth overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft. That would be taking special treatment to a new level, but MLB thinks that highly of Murray and wants him in baseball.

When we last visited Westeros, it was in a precarious position as the Night King's wight army destroyed the Wall (with their very own undead dragon) and marched freely into Westeros. Benioff and Weiss returned to executive produce the final season alongside Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield, with Bryan Cogman, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and George R.R. Martin serving as co-executive producers. Meanwhile, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Jon were busy having incestuous sexy times on their journey back to Winterfell after securing a fake truce from Cersei (Lena Headey).
