Apple Canada announces iPhone X display replacement program

11 November 2018

Apple has posted a new support page for the iPhone X that mentions how a component used on the display module might fail. The company also said some units could have displays that react even when they aren't touched.

It's unclear how widespread the problem is, but an online search provides more than a few instances of iPhone X users complaining about the responsiveness of their iPhone X screens. It turns out some of the new displays Apple offered in the iPhone X had a faulty part that, when it failed, caused the screen to become intermittently or wholly unresponsive to touch. The iPhone X went on sale last November and was discontinued when the iPhone XS and iPhone XR models were introduced in September. You can either make an appointment with a service provider or your local Apple Store, or you can contact Apple Support to find out about mailing in your phone for service. Apple says that this behavior has been seen on the Apple iPhone X only. Canadian devices are on the list of affected countries, according to Apple.

Satanic Temple Sues Netflix For Copyright Issues In "Adventures Of Sabrina"
When asked for comment, Netflix referred the request to Warner Bros , who said the company does not discuss pending litigation. They're also seeking to stop any more Sabrina from being distributed or reproduced as long as it has their Baphomet included.

If you have had either of these issues repaired by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider then you should get in touch with Apple to arrange a refund. "13-inch MacBook Pro units with affected drives were sold between June 2017 and June 2018". You can check if your model is eligible on the web, and get Apple to swap out the drive for you, again free of charge.

As far as the 13-inch MacBook Pro is concerned, Apple said that the problems are related to the storage drives, and may lead to data loss.
