Red Dead Redemption 2 Arrives Early at Target

22 October 2018

It's possible that might happen with the upcoming prequel as well, though it does seem unlikely given the two separate indications of a PC release for Red Dead Redemption 2.

In response to a recent inquiry, representatives of MediaMarkt stated that although it was true that a listing for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 had been made on its Swedish site with the option to pre-order, the listing was simply a placeholder. For now though, the game is only available on consoles - you'll need a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One to be able to play the game at launch. Throughout these past two years, Rockstar fans who claim PC as their primary gaming platform have been hoping that the company would announce a PC version of RDR 2, but with the Xbox One and PS4 launches practically staring us in the face, such an announcement is nowhere to be seen.

GameStop has an impressive Red Dead Redemption 2 deal later this week that lets buyers save big on a new Xbox One X.

Australia stares at hung parliament as by-election count goes to the wire
Dr Phelps said she would set two priorities: action on climate change and getting asylum seeker children off Nauru. But on Sunday Treasurer Josh Frydenburg said the government would not be looking to move the election date.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be here soon and players are trying to prepare themselves for the new life in the Wild West by preloading the game ahead of its release.

Was this a listing published early in error?

The listing was posted to MediaMarkt and noted by TechTastic before it got pulled again, with December 31, 2019 the given release date (though that's likely just a placeholder). All three purchase options at Target will come with a free pin set featuring Rockstar's logo as well as the title for the game (in the Red Dead 2 font).
