Vietnam exerts efforts to ease climate change impacts

10 October 2018

No one would dictate how much effort each country must make to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The report was published this week after it was approved by the IPCC on Saturday in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

That's true here in New Mexico, where average annual temperatures have already increased by 2°F just since the 1970s, according to a number of sources, including a recent report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The scientists wrote that globally, human-caused emissions of carbon dioxide "would need to fall by about 45 percent from 2010 levels by 2030, reaching "net zero" around 2050". Our new analysis from the Adaptation at Scale in Semi-Arid Regions (ASSAR) project shows that for Botswana and Namibia 1.5C of global warming would lead to an average temperature rise in each country of 2.2C and 2C respectively.

As one of the countries hardest hit by climate change, Vietnam has been actively performing worldwide commitments and exerting efforts to ease its impacts, on official has said.

Robinson has long called for others to be more conscious of both climate change and human rights issues, believing them to be inextricably linked. Any additional emissions will require removing Carbon dioxide from the air. More recently, he claimed that low temperatures disprove climate change.

Melania Trump Says Survivors Need to Show Hard Evidence of Assault
Melania Trump says her husband's politics are hurting her attempts to partner with aid organizations. You can not just say to somebody "I was sexually assaulted, ' or 'you did that to me".

The report said rising temperatures will push millions of people in Africa into poverty and hunger unless governments take swift action. Hot summers will become more frequent, and, wrote federal scientists in 2017, if carbon emissions remain high and water management systems aren't changed, chronic, long-term drought is increasingly possible by the end of the century.

Greenhouse gas emissions have climbed 1.3% to their highest quarterly levels in eight years, the latest data reveals, something Ms Price says has been largely driven by increased volumes of LNG production.

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) Le Cong Thanh made the statement during a high-level dialogue on climate change which took place in Hanoi on October 10. Trump has signaled he will pull the United States out of the global climate pact. This comes after an increase of 1°C above pre-industrial levels since the mid-1800s. In December 2015, when governments adopted the Paris Agreement, they invited the IPCC to prepare a report on the warming of 1.5ºC in 2018, when nations review the Paris Agreement at the 24 Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24), to be held in Poland this December. "We can be simpler in the parts of the world that have benefited from fossil fuel".

The Labor party has capitalised on the IPCC report and used it to demonstrate the their view that the Coalition isn't unified on its' approach to climate change and that more conservative elements of the party are undermining the Government's ability to put forward sensible policy in regards to emissions reduction.

The IPCC is the global body for assessing the science related to climate change.
