Both watches include continuous heart rate monitoring and Sleep Plus, a way to track the quality and amount of sleep. Unlike traditional optical tech, Polar's two new Global Positioning System watches will offer nine optical channels, using several colours and wavelengths of light, 3D acceleration and even an electrical sensor that measures the quality of sensor-to-skin contact. They are not smartwatches, but incorporate the strengths of Polar's history and extensive research and testing to offer affordable, capable Global Positioning System watches to help you improve your performance. Running power should be a better measure of effort than pace or even heart rate, making it especially useful in races - stick to the right running power to pace your run and you might never blow up two kilometres from the end again. This is exactly what I have been looking for as I prefer buttons when training, but also like the ease of a touchscreen for simple watch functions.

Polar is releasing two new multisport watches this fall, the Vantage V and Vantage M, which offer new technology including a new wrist-based heart rate sensor said to be more accurate than other similar products.

The Polar Vantage M has numerous same features but lacks the ability to track running power. The highlight is probably its ability to track your running power from your wrist, with a measurement in watts.

Loftus-Cheek must learn Sarri methods to earn Chelsea chance
However, he has revealed his gratitude for the experience of training alongside top players at a young age while at Chelsea . Ruben Loftus-Cheek says the thought of leaving Chelsea has not crossed his mind, despite limited minutes under Sarri.

Polar is very focused on coaching and providing support to help you achieve your goals.

Another highlight of the Vantage V is its "Precision Prime" heart rate monitor, which incorporates nine optical channels, a 3D accelerometer and four electrode sensors. Training Load Pro and Recovery Pro are two tools to help you train with a free Polar Flow for Coach service for those working with coaches to follow and manage training plans. The battery is advertised to last up to 30 hours on the Vantage M. Coaches can create workouts within Polar Flow and add them to an athlete's training calendar.

The Vantage M is available for pre-order today at from the Polar store for £249, with small/medium sizes coming with a black or white straps and sizes medium/large available in a black, white or red strap.
