Indian parliament to debate no-trust motion against Modi's government

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday slammed the Congress for not keep its promises on rural electrification during all the years it was in government.

At the time of the launch, the Government of India promised to spend a total of Rs 16,320 crore in this massive project to provide electricity and to give the nation a new light.

Prime Minister was interacting with citizens from villages that have been electrified in the last four years via the Narendra Modi Mobile App.

Mr Modi said 15th August 2015, he had made a promise, to electrify every village in 1000 days. Ramchandra Bisht, from Tihri in Uttarakhand, said that employment opportunities have increased in their village after electrification.

Modi asserted that numerous villages were electrified by the NDA government through Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, and Saubhagya (Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana) schemes. "This was quite unfortunate", he said.

Further breaking some more figures on PM Modi's travel overseas, then in 2014-15 Rs. 93.76 crore was spent on chartered flights while in 2015-16, the figure was Rs. 117 crore.
