Chelsea's incredibly short send off to Antonio Conte

Ex-Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is expected to succeed his compatriot at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea said in a statement on Friday: "Chelsea Football Club and Antonio Conte have parted company".

Conte equalled the Premier League record for for consecutive wins (13), and the record number of wins in a season (30) when leading Chelsea to the title in 2016/17 season.

"We wish Antonio every success in his future career".

Hazard has also always been linked with a move to the Bernabeu and that speculation has heightened since Chelsea FC missed out on a place in next season's Champions League following their fifth-placed finish last term.

"I don't think Antonio helped himself, if I'm being honest, in the way that he came across at times", former Chelsea midfielder Dennis Wise told Sky Sports television.

With Sarri and Jorginho arriving from Napoli, Chelsea are reportedly looking to add to those signings with the likes of Daniele Rugani fron Juventus and World Cup star Aleksandr Golovin.
