As people debate Forbes' decision to put Kylie Jenner on a list of "self-made" billionaires, Dictionary.com is wading into the discourse. "I don't want to do it with anyone else", Kylie told Forbes. Forbes reports that it's likely that she'll pass the billion dollar mark sometime this year, which means she'll take the title of youngest ever self-made billionaire from Mark Zuckerberg.
The young mother, who gave birth to her daughter Stormi back in February, graced the cover of Forbes this month wearing a sharp business suit with her raven hair slicked back.
The 20-year-old, who launched her own cosmetic line, Kylie Cosmetics, less than three years ago, has already accumulated more than $900 million.
Forbes values her company - of which she owns 100% - at almost $800 million. Despite the success of her latest venture, makeup brand KKW Beauty, the company has only grossed about $100 million in revenue since its launch in 2017. She has more than 110 million followers on Instagram and millions more on Snapchat, and the audience is made up mainly of young women and girls-her company's core customer base.
"Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eye shadow", Jenner said. In comparison, her 37-year-old sister Kim Kardashian's estimated worth is about a third of that, at $350 million.
The youngest Jenner, who is on the cover of the August edition of the American business magazine, is on the "America's Richest Self-Made Women" list.
Cardi B Countersues Ex-Manager Shaft, Asking for $15 Million in Damages
Almanzar's best interest with undivided loyalty, Shaft himself and through his entities took advantage of Ms. Cardi B's agreement with WorldStar and KSR entitled Shaft to 20 percent of her gross income.
Add the value of her company with various income from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, her collabs with PacSun, Puma shoes, and more, and she's valued at a whopping $900 million total.
"Before I even refreshed the page, everything was sold out", Jenner said.
Two years on, Kylie now sell a whole range of other cosmetics from blushers and highlighers (or "Kylighters") to eyeshadow pallettes, lip glosses and brush kits.
She goes on to credit social media as a major marketing tool that has helped her grow her business.
The only real question now is when will a The Social Network-esque movie about Kylie's life be made?
