Stormy Daniels Arrested While Performing at Ohio Strip Club, Her Attorney Says

12 July 2018

Stormy Daniels, the woman who says she had an affair with US President Donald Trump, has been arrested at an OH strip club for letting patrons touch her in violation of state law.

Daniels made headlines worldwide for allegedly having an affair with Donald Trump in 2006 - and for the $130,000 she says she received from his attorney in 2016 in exchange for her silence about the alleged sexual encounter a decade earlier. Trump has denied any sexual relationship with Daniels.

Michael Avenatti tells The Associated Press today that Daniels was taken into custody during a show in Columbus, Ohio.

Daniels was arrested at a club in Columbus while performing an act she has done at almost 100 strip clubs across the US, Michael Avenatti wrote on Twitter. It reeks of desperation.

'This was a setup and politically motivated. He says she was arrested inside the club.

Why It's Impossible For Brett Kavanaugh To Make Abortion Illegal
He called Kavanaugh "a man of impeccable credentials and character" and expressed confidence that the Senate will confirm him. While declining to give his personal views on the matter, Kavanaugh has already said when he was confirmed to the D.C.

'We will fight all bogus charges'.

The high-powered attorney claims the arrest was "part of a sting" based on a "puritan law" that says there is absolutely no touching in strip clubs in Columbus.

It also outlaws touching a nude or semi-nude dancer or their clothing in or in the direct vicinity of the club - unless the person is a member of the dancer's immediate family.

He later tweeted that he expected Daniels to be released on bail "shortly" and charged with a misdemeanour for "touching".

She is hoping to have the non-disclosure agreement thrown out on the grounds that it is not valid because Mr Trump never signed it.
