Sacha Baron Cohen reveals promo, premiere date for new Showtime series

10 July 2018

Cheney, who was openly in favor of the US military using torture methods including waterboarding against captured terrorist suspects during his tenure, clearly still hasn't changed his views on the act which is a human rights abuse and punishable by worldwide law.

Cohen also posted a video on the Fourth Of July featuring President Donald Trump calling the comedian a "third-rate character" and wishing that he was "punched in the face so many times right now he'd be in a hospital". It was disgraceful. He ought to be fired immediately.

Also in 2012, Trump told HLN that Baron Cohen was a "bad guy" and a "moron" that "nobody cares about".

Now the actor has shared a second video which teases what has been reported to be a new series for Showtime. Take, for example, convincing former Vice President Dick Cheney to sign a waterboard "kit" on camera, with a grin.

Greatest World Cup ever? Not so fast 07/08/2018
France's Kylian Mbappe (3 goals) is the highest scoring teenager in a World Cup tournament since Pele scored six in 1958. Belgium are a strong side on paper and play as a total unit.

Sacha Baron Cohen has been undercover for a whole year making his new TV show Who Is America?

Sacha Baron Cohen became one of the biggest comedy stars of the early and mid-00s thanks to his extraordinary, cringe-inducing prank interviews where he would talk to a famous person (or a regular person revealing way too much) while he was in-character as Ali G or Borat or Brüno. The first episode of "Who is America?" will air on Showtime at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, July 15, and debut on streaming, online and on demand Sunday at midnight.

Baron Cohen's credits include "Da Ali G Show", which received six Emmy Award nominations and two BAFTA awards during its four-year run.

Showtime, meanwhile, have been keeping schtum on the details. Very nice news you're about to read! We weren't even sure if it was a TV show or a film - bad investigative journalism from us, there, we must be reprimanded. "F*** if I know".
