The writing seemed to be on the wall regarding Randle's future with the Lakers once LeBron James agreed to a four-year, $154 million deal with the team.

As the Lakers continue to reshape their roster around LeBron James - keeping maximum flexibility going forward, although putting together an interesting mix of players that lack shooting - the Lakers made two fast moves Monday afternoon. Rondo averaged 8.3 points and 8.2 assists per game in his one season in New Orleans, helping the Pelicans to the Western Conference semifinals.

Rondo, 32, had spent the previous three seasons with four franchises after getting traded by the Boston Celtics to the Dallas Mavericks in 2014. Add that to blossoming long defenders in Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram, and with James orchestrating the defense as a free safety, Walton has a potentially formidable defense that finished 12th (105.6) in defensive rating last season. He had averages of 16.1 points, and 8.0 rebounds, per game.

Now, they're bringing in Rajon Rondo, according to USA TODAY Sports. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report the news.
