They will get hitched at Wardhill Castle in Aberdeenshire, which has been in Leslie's family for 900 years.

Guests including fellow Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner - who herself is engaged to Joe Jonas - as well as Maisie Williams and Peter Dinklage.

A date of June 23 was previously posted at Aberdeenshire's Huntly registration office.

Speaking outside the castle on Saturday, Sebastian Leslie said: "We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today".

"My goodness! You know, we like to spread the love on our show. We are using local caterers, local lighting, local flowers".

He waved at fans who have been gathering in and around Inverurie hoping to catch a glimpse of the show's stars.
