In a world filled with reboots and remakes, comes another reboot. With producer and director credits including the Saw, Insidious, and Conjuring franchises, James Wan is a leading filmmaker for the horror genre. We imagine that the remake is not expected in the immediate future given that James Wan is working on the post-production ofAquaman and on the production of two spin-off saga of Conjuring in which The Nun to be released in theatres next September.

Whether this means that the horror could outweigh the comedy in this new iteration is not yet clear, and there's also no word yet on who will either write or direct the project. And it would appear that Wan himself will not be directing either. It marked the directorial debut of Frank Marshall, who co-founded Amblin Entertainment.
