ESPN Films & Netflix Team Up for Michael Jordan Doc Series

Now, Jordan is participating in an upcoming multi-part documentary co-produced by ESPN and Netflix that will span 10 hours, according to sports reporter Richard Deitsch.

Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls dynasty is getting a super-sized version of ESPN's 30-for-30 treatment, the network announced today.

Jordan is arguably one of the greatest icons and most successful dynasties in sports history. Producing the series will be Mike Tollin, whose prior work includes Hardwood Dreams, Varsity Blues, Coach Carter, and Radio. We should have seen everything already.

In terms of its narrative and aesthetic approach, the documentary will cipher through over 500 hours of unaired footage from the Chicago Bulls' championship run in 1997-98.

Michael Jordan will be returning to the world of film - and it won't be in Space Jam 2.

The film will be titled The Last Dance. Next year, a new documentary series might have some new insights to keep the argument going strong. ESPN and Netflix says it was given full access to Jordan.
