"I thought about "Malcolm X", "Inside Man" [and] "25th Hour", and Spike just has an ability to do tension right, to do the moments of levity right, to deliver a social message and a punch", Peele told THR. 'BLACKkKLANSMAN', which pairs Lee with Jordan Peele, has been gaining attention for its interesting story plot.

The movie is based on a true story based on Stallworth's 2014 novel by Black Klansman. The first BlacKkKlansman trailer dropped and it seems like law enforcement got the drop on David Duke's Ku Klux Klan. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film's rapturous response lasted for ten minutes as soon as the credits began to roll with many taking to their feet in celebration of the director.

The film stars former American football player and Ballers star John David Washington as black detective Ron Stallworth, who worked together with a white cop, played by Adam Driver, to take down the Colorado arm of the racist organization.

"Lee will surely be a strong contender for the Cannes best-director prize and he may even bag the Palme d'Or, the festival's top honour", the publication said.

'Memory transplant' achieved in snails
The scientists gave mild electric shocks to the tails of a species of marine snail called Aplysia californica . Professor Glanzman stressed the marine snails were not hurt by the experiment, but they were alarmed.

John David Washington stars as the protagonist Ron Stallworth who comes up with the idea and Adam Driver is the white Jewish cop he recruits to help him.

BlacKkKlansman is set for release in the United States on August 10.

Lee was outfitted in a shiny purple-and-orange tuxedo and wore one ring declaring "love" on one hand, and "hate" on the other.
