Spotify swipes a major player from Apple Music

Carl Chery is the one that managed to strike a collaboration between Apple Music and Chance the Rapper, the Grammy-winning artist. However, Spotify will likely be behind unless it partners with Amazon's Alexa or Google Home, otherwise the company will have to start at square one with its smart assistant work. However, it looks like he'll be taking his talents over to a competing streaming service.

With the departure of Chery, Apple Music appears to be continuously shuffling its team.

Currently, Apple Music has a total of 40 million paid subscribers, while Spotify's latest data shows that their streaming service has approximately 70 million subscribers. Oliver Schusser took over as chief of Apple Music Worldwide. The Swedish company is also believed to be planning a revamp of its free music streaming offering, which is said to make it easier and faster for users to access playlists.
