SC to hear plea for transfer of Kathua trial at noon

Senior counsel Indira Jaising, appealing for the victim's father, expressed satisfaction with the investigation and told the court that they wanted transfer of the trail so that it could be a fair one. He also sought for strengthening of security at the juvenile home where a minor accused is lodged.

The bench also ordered the state government to provide escalated security cover to the lawyer and family of the deceased eight-year-old girl.

Among the accused in the Kathua rape murder case, there is a juvenile against whom a separate charge sheet was filed.
