Salah's goal, his 30th in the league this term, kept Liverpool on course for a top-four finish and means the Player of the Year contender has now netted eight goals in his past five games.

Liverpool beat Manchester City 5-1 on aggregate this month to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they will face AS Roma, and Salah hopes the run can continue.

Former Tottenham, Ajax and Celta Viga player, Mido, says "I know a lot of people won't agree with me on this but in my opinion, Mohamed Salah is the best player in the history of Egyptian football", according to KingFut, who he was speaking to.

He is of course leading the race to win the Premier League golden boot, but refused to be drawn on the situation surrounding Harry Kane's "goal" against Stoke, which was accredited to him on appeal, despite little evidence to suggest that he actually touched the ball.

The Egyptian has been named in a strong Reds line-up, which shows just one change from their Champions League win at Manchester City on Tuesday.

The share price has moved away from its 20 days moving average at the rate of 0.74% and its 50 days moving average returned 0.56%. Increased volatility and interest from bargain investors have put the stock on a number of investor's watchlists of late.

Liverpool can move 10 points clear of fifth-placed Chelsea with a win, while Salah needs just one goal to register 40 for the campaign in all competitions.

On the personal front, Salah looks set to claim this year's Premier League Golden Boot, having scored 30 goals to date with Harry Kane next best on 25. I don't care about the rest.

"Each goal for me, or for anyone else, is to try to help the team". That is the most important thing for us, that we play as a team, as 11 players, and so each goal for me is to help the team.

"It is a great feeling, of course it is a great feeling, but in the end I am just happy to score and help the team", he told United Kingdom newspapers.

A less heralded aspect of the England midfielder's repertoire was also significant as he provided the assist for Mane's opening goal.
