White House aide John McEntee fired, under investigation

Senior administration officals told the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday that McEntee was escorted out of the White House on Monday. McEntee was escorted from the White House on Monday after he was sacked over security concerns, two sources familiar with the matter told the Journal.

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump fired longtime personal aide John McEntee, who had been with Trump since the early stages of his 2016 campaign. He indicated to his colleagues it may have been about his background check.
