Free agent WR Sammy Watkins to sign for Kansas City Chiefs

13 March 2018

Watkins is expected to sign a three-year deal worth $48 million total with $30 million guaranteed at signing, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.

Watkins, 24, burst onto the scene his first two years in the league with the Bills but struggled last season after he was traded to the Rams, following an injury-plagued 2016 season.

His best season came in 2015 for the Buffalo Bills, who drafted him with the fourth overall pick in 2014, when he caught 60 passes for 1,047 yards and nine touchdowns.

Patrick Mahomes is taking over an offense that already had plenty of firepower, but the Kansas City Chiefs added another weapon Tuesday.

But the problem goes deeper than just a dispute over image rights, said Romeo, the granddaughter of Kahlo's sister Cristina. The family also say that they have been trying to dissolve the Frida Kahlo Corporation for years.

Watkins joins receiver Tyreek Hill, running back Kareem Hunt and tight end Travis Kelce as potential targets for Mahomes, who spent his rookie season behind Alex Smith on the depth chart.

With Reid's complex blend of college and pro schemes, the Chiefs have unlimited upside offensively.

The Rams had considered using the franchise tag on Watkins, but opted instead to tag safety Lamarcus Joyner.

But if he's healthy to start offseason activities and if he can stay that way, then Robinson will bring a lot of things that will help a young quarterback such as Mitch Trubisky.
