Rainbow Six: Siege's Operation Chimera detailed

18 February 2018

Named Lion and Finka, these Rainbow Six Siege new Operators are experts in biological warfare.

One of the biggest disparities from previous seasons is a shake-up of Operator roles, with both characters classified as attackers in competitive multiplayer.

Finka is a medium speed and medium armor operator who has a variety of weapons at her disposal. When she activates her signal, the nanobots disintegrate with the zinc being treated as a nutrient by the body and facilitating the absorption of the drugs. Operators receive a small health and accuracy boost, and any downed operators are instantly revived. Finka is rated at two speed and two armor, and her primary weapon choices are the Spear.308, SASG-12, and 6P41. The PMM pistol and GSH-18 also make a return, with breaching charges and stun grenades.

Lion, for instance, is a French bioterror specialist who got his nickname from his loud voice. Flament's signature device allows him to detect movement in an area. He packs a V308, 417 Marksman Rifle, SG-CQB, and a P9 pistol and LFP586 as secondaries. Furthermore, players will be able to choose claymores or stun grenades as his gadgets.

Stevivor had the chance to play with the Chimera update and its a lot of fun which will inject an even more diverse selection of attacking opportunites into the game. Featured in the video above are Lion and Finka from France and Russian Federation, respectively.

Today at the Rainbow Six Invitational tournament in Montreal, publisher Ubisoft revealed two new Operators heading the door-kicking shooter as part of the Rainbow Six Siege's next wave of DLC.

Their bio pages go into far greater detail about their personal lives-early days, family woes, regrets, beefs with other Rainbow Sixers-which is interesting but, as far as I can tell, not particularly relevant to the space-zombie-shooting matter at hand unless you're deeply invested in Ubi's "Tom Clancy" game world.
