All African countries at the United Nations unanimously demanded on Friday that US President Donald Trump retract and apologise for his reported denunciation of immigration from "shithole" nations.

Trump has since been branded a shocking and shameful racist after it was credibly reported he had described African nations, as well as Haiti and El Salvador as "shitholes" and questioned why so many of their citizens had ever been permitted to enter America.

In a tweet, Trump said: "The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used".

"Those sentiments and the way he handled the meetings are not going to bring Democrats closer to the president on substance", the aide said, adding that the comment gives "a glimpse into the reasoning why" the president rejected a deal after "Democrats met him more than halfway".

In full damage control, Trump and the White House trashed Wolff and his book as fiction and tabloid garbage while defending the President's mental fitness. That's when he used these vile and vulgar comments, calling the nations they come from 's***holes.' The exact word used by the President.

Mr Durbin added, "When the question was asked about Haitians. he said, 'Haitians?"

New York State Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte, the daughter of Haitian immigrants, who represents the 42ndAssembly District in Brooklyn, said as Haitians on Friday marked the 8th anniversary of the 2010 massive natural disaster, it was sad that they were also united in denouncing the "distasteful, denigrating and disparaging racist remarks referring Haiti, Africa and other black or brown countries as "shithole" countries". She said they are hurting prospects for a bipartisan agreement on immigration.

The CNN anchor holds a close relationship with Haiti after he was one of the first foreign journalists to arrive and report on the devastating quake that killed thousands in 2010. At least one more African leader spoke up on Saturday. "He said these hate-filled things, and he said them repeatedly".

As President Trump continues to take criticism over the term "s***hole countries", Ari Fleischer says the White House should focus on substance and policy.

He continued an hour later, tweeting, "Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country". During the Revolutionary War, Haitians sent more than 500 fighters to help the young rebels defend against a British attack on Savannah.

"The statement that he made is not from the entire America, it is from only one person", Charitable said.

"I think the Trump statements should not be just isolated or identified with Trump, but the fact that Trump is where he is is the broader issue", Drammeh told the Daily News. "Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!"

Farah Larrieux, a Haitian immigrant and organizer in Miami, referenced statements Trump made in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood while campaigning before the 2016 election that he wanted "to be the biggest champion" for Haitian Americans.
