He went on to say that it was his "thing" and gimmick that he used to shock people earlier in his YouTube career. "I actually went to Google".

The video contained an audio clip from 29-year-old Dawson's podcast Shane and Friends, in which he can be heard saying calling a young girl and infants are "sexy".

YouTube star Shane Dawson was accused of being a paedophile after footage emerged of him describing a six-year-old as "sexy " Who is Shane Dawson? "I just wanted to see, let me pretend I'm a pedophile for a second", he said.

'So I typed in "naked baby". "Here's my statement cause everyone says 'Shane, make a statement.' I am not a f***king pedophile".

Stoops held multiple scholarship offers, according to Rivals, including an opportunity from his father's alma mater, Iowa. Mike Stoops - Drake's uncle and the current defensive coordinator of the Sooners - shared in the excitement.

"First of all, I don't understand why anybody would be turned on by that", he says. The comments were made in a podcast six years ago, but they're a bit disturbing and someone compiled them into a five-minute video titled "Shane Dawson is a pedophile". The little one revealed that she was a cheerleader and showed him her Instagram photos and he said, "First of all, I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but she's like sexy". But, they were sexy. I loved the feeling of making somebody feel shocked. "I wasn't confident enough to make smarter jokes". He apologised for ever making jokes in relation to paedophilia.

The YouTuber has previously caused controversy by using blackface in a number of his videos, playing characters of Wendy Williams and Chris Brown. "I was doing s-- that was racially insensitive, I was doing s-- that was homophobic, I was doing s-- that could be considered fat shaming, I was doing some f--ed up comedy stuff that I'm not proud of". I have changed so much as a person; as a creative, and as a writer, and as a director. I'm going to start by saying I am not a f***ing paedophile. "Listening to that clip just now, I didn't laugh; I didn't think it was amusing". Listening to that clip now, I didn't laugh. The name was eventually changed to "I think Shane Dawson is a paedophile" before eventually deleting it from YouTube. "I'm sorry that I used to make really s--y f--ing jokes. That was our thing".

In the hours between the original video being uploaded, deleted and Pop Blast's channel being removed from YouTube, a series of creepy conspiracy theory videos about Dawson appeared, disappeared and reappeared on the channel. In 2014, he issued an apology after he wore blackface.

Shane's controversy comes after fellow YouTuber Logan Paul's shocking "Suicide Forest" video sparked online backlash.
