Twitter 'happy' to hand over Trump's direct messages & deleted tweets to DOJ

13 January 2018

Another former Twitter engineer Conrado Miranda confirmed in the video that Twitter already has tools are already in place to censor pro-Trump or conservative content on the platform. I don't like it too. You had to be...

The explosive video demonstrates how former and current engineers at Twitter utilize shady policies and backdoor tricks to quash "political opponents" and reduce the number of users able to view their posts.

The first video, released Wednesday by the right-wing James O'Keefe outfit known for controversial (and sometimes doctored) videos, shows a Twitter network security engineer saying the company would be willing to help the Department of Justice's investigation by turning over President Trump's direct messages and deleted tweets. "Any direct messages, any mentions".

"I don't like being part of the machine that is contributing to America's downfall", Haynes adds. According to Singh, a majority of the bots pushing for Trump were Russian in nature advocating Conservative values, so Twitter had allegedly targeted them.

"We deplore the deceptive and underhanded tactics by which this footage was obtained and selectively edited to fit a predetermined narrative". "Twitter is committed to enforcing our rules without bias and empowering every voice on our platform, in accordance with the Twitter Rules".

"The individual depicted in this video was speaking in a personal capacity and does not represent or speak for Twitter", the statement said.

Adobe Systems Incorporated (ADBE) — Hot Trending Stock
Barclays restated a "buy" rating and set a $167.00 target price on shares of Adobe Systems in a report on Friday, September 15th. It improved, as 42 investors sold ADBE shares while 327 reduced holdings. 75 funds opened positions while 289 raised stakes.

Providing further detail, the spokeswoman says this means that if such content is marked as abusive, or flagged as inappropriate otherwise, it makes it "less visible on Twitter, in search results, replies, and on timelines". "So they just think that no one is engaging with their content, when in reality, no one is seeing it".

Twitter lists as its mission statement: "Give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers". "We do take actions to downrank accounts that are abusive and mark them accordingly so people can still to click through and see these Tweets if they so choose".

More disturbing is how one engineer revealed that Twitter is now working on a system to automate banning and censorship of "shitty people". He also pointed out that a lot of censorship wasn't done automatically but was manually suppressed.

Later, in another meeting with Haynes where O'Keefe himself attends (he applies a wig that looks slightly different than his normal hair and dons glasses to disguise himself), Haynes again says Twitter has the ability to disclose "every single message, every single tweet, whatever you log into, what profile pictures you upload".

In the "internal reviews" held at Twitter about banning President Trump's account, Haynes said he "wasn't the only one that basically said that if we let this maniac - something along the lines of, if we let this maniac continue, we would have a hard time finding another job".

In the past, Project Veritas has tended to focus its undercover work on mainstream media organizations, particularly over the unsubstantiated claims that Russian Federation somehow interfered in the 2016 United States presidential election. Yeah, it's something we're working on, where we're trying to get the shitty people to not show up. "It's a product thing we're working on right now".
