Bryan Fuller, Anne Rice Developing Vampire Chronicles TV Series

Paramount TV optioned all 11 books previous year, with Rice serving as an executive producer and her son, Christopher Rice, serving as the show's main writer and showrunner.

Fuller is the writer and producer behind such as television series as Hannibal, American Gods and Star Trek: Discovery.

Notable blood-thirster Bryan Fuller is working on the pilot for Paramount's new series based on Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles books, and there are hopes he'll stay on the show for good.

But he is helping Anne and Chris Rice write the pilot, and it's hard to imagine a better marriage of personal quirks and source material.

Most famous among Rice's iconic Vampire novels is the series' first, Interview With the Vampire, which was adapted into a blockbuster 1994 film that starred Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, and earned a then-unknown Kirsten Dunst a Golden Globe nomination for her turn as the pair's once-bitten, adopted vampire daughter.

Some of the retailers concerned have accepted joint responsibility, but it's still not clear how the recall was bungled. Le Maire fired harsh criticism against Lactalis before the press conference, calling it a "failing company".

As one of the most popular vampire series, there's a constant clamor for more adaptations of the books.

"It is undeniable that Anne Rice has created the paradigm against which all vampire stories are measured", Powell told Deadline previous year.

We'll keep you posted for future updates about the Vampire Chronicles TV show here on Epicstream. "The series is full of compelling characters led by Lestat, arguably one of the greatest original characters, literary or otherwise".

Paramount TV and Anonymous Content gained the rights to 11 books in the series in April, which started in 1976 with the publication of Interview with the Vampire. "This is a dream come true, both for me and for Christopher and for the fans who have been asking to see the Brat Prince in this medium for years".

Given Fuller's mastery of blending romance with the macabre, he makes the ideal choice to help develop this series.
