Body Cam Footage of Ralph Shortey Arrest Released

07 December 2017

Police released the bodycam footage showing the encounter with Shortey, who constantly promoted "Christian" and "family" values as an Oklahoma State Senator before resigning in disgrace in March in the wake of a child prostitution charge.

Shortey is seen in the videos wearing a white T-shirt referencing the Bible verse about "wives submitting yourselves to your husbands".

In exchange for his guilty plea, federal prosecutors have agreed to drop three child pornography counts against him.

Officer: "Come out before you get me anxious. Yeah, this one", a cop said to the door. The officers arrived at his Super 8 room after receiving reports he was with a juvenile.

Elected to the state senate in 2010, Shortey made headlines in 2012 when he wrote a bill to ban the use of aborted human fetuses in food, even though he was not aware of any company that used such a practice.

Married Ralph Shortey, 35, can be heard arguing "can you show me that he's only 17?" after armed police swooped on his motel after a tip-off by the teen boy's anxious dad. Yeah, this one", a police told Shortey, to which he replied: "We were just hanging out, talking about life and stuff. "But listen, whatever you're doing, it's a bad f*cking idea".

Stipe Miocic To Defend Heavyweight Strap Against Francis Ngannou At UFC 220

THIS is the dramatic moment cops nabbed a U.S. state senator as he tried to bed an underage boy in a seedy hotel room.

"Dad's anxious. You understand that?" "Couldn't graduate high school and was trying to get his life on track".

Shortey, 35, pleaded guilty to a federal charge of child sex trafficking last week after an investigation found the married father of four offered a teenage boy cash in exchange for "sexual stuff".

Shortey faces between 10 years and life in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 for child sex trafficking.

Police then entered the dimly lit space, which smelled of marijuana, to find Shortey, a box of opened condoms and two unmade beds.

The indictment also accused Shortey of child sex trafficking for allegedly soliciting a minor to engage in a commercial sex act on March 8 and 9 of this year - accusations that involved him and the teen at the motel, and that led to Shortey's arrest and the state charges. It stripped away his committee memberships, kicked him out of his Capitol office and took away his state-issued computer, according to the New York Daily News.
