20 November 2017

Rainbow Six Siege might have gotten off to a slow start, but continual improvements and downloadable content has kept the game alive and quite popular among multiplayer fans for years. The event will last at least a week, and from its initial description, the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege event sounds an bad lot like Call of Duty's zombie mode. Ceilings and floors can be breached to create new access points.

As well as eight new operators, the third year includes two new maps set in Italy and Morocco and a make over of an existing map, giving it new design and art direction.

Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Siege will receive a third year of DLC and additional support next year. The two new operators will be Italian GIS Operators.

Ubisoft has said that Year 3 for RB6 will be structured into four Seasons. The studio officials remained mum on further details but implied that the biohazard specialists had a large role to play in the PVE event - and given that it takes place during something called Operation Chimera, we expect some suitably monster-ish enemies to feature. It will also feature an exclusive collection of cosmetics, available only during the time of the event. More information on Year 3 will be coming soon. Before then, players still have one last chance to buy the Year 2 season pass that includes not only 8 operators (Mira, Jackal, Ying, Lesion, Ela, Dokkaebi, Vigil and Zofia) but also a series of exclusive customization items.* Season Pass is available for purchase here.
