With thousands of women embracing the "Me Too" movement to own their histories of sexual harassment and abuse, and those issues swirling at high volume in the culture overall, parents are reaching for teachable moments in the post-Weinstein world.

Famed attorney Gloria Allred is representing the woman.

"Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein", said reps for Harvey Weinstein today. From there, he invited her to awards show parties and maintained regular communication over the next few years. "Despite her telling Weinstein 'no, ' Weinstein proceeded to grab her wrist with one hand while using the other to masturbate in front of her until completion".

The plaintiff, who is seeking unspecified damages, is identified only as Jane Doe in the Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit that alleges sexual battery, gender violence, assault, negligence and negligent retention.

Not long after, he went to the bathroom and came out in a bathrobe and raped her. Weinstein allegedly met up with her again in 2015 and 2016 to "celebrate her upcoming role" in the series.

The woman says she never received a job offer for Marco Polo - which was canceled after two seasons - or for any other Weinstein-related project. Los Angeles police are also probing for "lewd conduct" stemming from an incident in 2015, while a similar investigation is underway in Beverly Hills. Additionally, Asia Argento, Lucia Evans, and a woman who refused to speak on-record-have also accused Weinstein of rape, according to the New Yorker. The theatre had numerous celebrity fans and supporters, was rocked by sexual harassment allegations against its executive director and a board member in August. The board suspended activities of the theater at that point and hired an independent film to investigate the allegations.

The board says that no victims corroborated rape claims, but the investigation did uncover serious concerns and breaches of acceptable behaviour.

Zimmerman used to be in charge of arranging guests for the “Today” show but in 2014 was promoted to vice-president and led the behind-the-scenes unit responsible for such bookings at all NBC News programs.

The network didn't give any details Tuesday about Zimmerman's behavior, only that he violated company policy.
