Ben Affleck Wants a "Cool and Graceful" Way to Quit Batman

14 November 2017

Directed by Zack Snyder and scheduled for a November 16 opening in the Philippines, Justice League kicks off months after the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

But it appears that Affleck has grown exhausted of the superhero world and is setting his sights on hanging up the cape for good. Back in July, The Hollywood Reporter wrote that the studio was reportedly looking into plans to "gracefully" transition Affleck out of the role of Batman ahead of a planned trilogy about the character.

Additionally, Diane Lane chatted with us about her role as Martha Kent in the film, noting the character has "always been the voice of sort of a pragmatism and a salt of the earth", who hasn't been quick to simply accept that everything will be all right.

"[It's] something I'm contemplating", Affleck said of appearing in The Batman. But, there is an interesting twist to that story.

In short, it looks like this one is set to divide audiences, with many describing the movie as a "mixed bag" that never quite manages to be consistently great. After seeing his uncertainty in the past two films, from death, I find it much more believable that we'd end up with a Man of Steel with a brighter outlook on life.

Though it may seem like Gigi and Zayn have been making red carpet and street style appearances together forever, they only officially started dating in November 2015.

"From everything I know, he's going to play that Batma". But they were followed by statements that the actor still had a desire to play the Dark Knight.

"I think Ray said it really well, I really agree", adds Affleck, who faced several allegations in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal. I guess the third time is the charm.

Rumors that Affleck would not star in The Batman have abounded for months, beginning when he stepped out of the director's chair for the film. While at first it was speculated that Justice League would not have a sequel, Simmons revealed in an interview with Total Film that the script for a secondmovie was being written. In fact, when Reeves jumped on board, he made it clear that he had a different vision for the film and would give it a new script. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are now looking for a director.

We are less than a week out from the eagerly anticipated DC superhero team-up film, Justice League.
