MA native implicated in death of frat pledge pressured to overdrink

Now Louisiana State University Police have officially charged 10 former and current LSU students with hazing, including a student from the Houston area, Nicholas Taulli. Naquin reportedly wanted to cut Gruver from the pledge list.

A report from the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner revealed Gruver's blood-alcohol level was.495 at the time of his death (more than six times the legal limit).

According to the Associated Press, police reports suggest that Gruver may have been forced to consume excessive amounts of alcohol the night before his death.

Forde's fellow fraternity brother Matthew Alexander Naquin, 19, of Boerne, Texas, has been charged with negligent homicide in relation to the incident.

According to a report from UL's student newspaper The Vermilion, the four fraternities suspended were Theta Xi, Kappa Alpha Order, Sigma Nu and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Now, ten young men are facing charges including one from Charlotte.
