Detective wrangles 9-foot anaconda with her bare hands

13 October 2017

No big deal. At least for Detective Emily Shaw of the Leon County Sheriff's Office in Tallahassee. There were a couple of times where the anaconda appears to try to strike her.

It's no surprise Shaw was the first detective the Florida based Sheriff department called upon as she actually has her own fundraiser benefiting the Leon County Humane Society.

Video of the capture has gone viral, piling up almost 2,000 shares, since it was uploaded to the Sheriff's Office's Facebook page Thursday.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Season Pass Has Been Detailed
The South Park: The Fractured But Whole Season Pass is available as part of the game's $90 Gold Edition , or for $30 on its own. Towelie: Your Gaming Bud provides helpful and hilarious advice and commentary to players at key locations throughout the game.

Cellphone video shows Detective Emily Shaw catching the large reptile with a branch, a duffel bag and her bare hands.

The snake was found on the east side of the county and was likely a pet that either escaped or released, according to the Leon County Sheriff's Office. Make sure their cages are completely secure and if you decide you no longer want it, DO NOT release it into the wild. Do not forget to keep cages secure and to contact Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission if you no longer want your pet.
