Visitors pranked on China glass bridge that appears to shatter beneath them

How will you react? In one of the most popular segments of the video, a tour guide appears to collapse to his feet in fear as he walks over the illusion (although this may have been part of the promotion effort). What he did not know was that it was all intentional.

Tourists at a glass bridge in North China's Hubei province got a rude shock when glass panels began cracking under their weight. Instead, they hope more tourists will be drawn to the area to experience the shattering glass bridge for themselves. A glass walkway has been built in the Yuntai Mountain Geological Park in China and it hangs at 1,180 metres (3,871 feet) above sea level, but what will really grab your horrified imagination's attention is the fact that it was created to crack deliberately - not fall apart, jut show cracking effect that does not harm the structure, according to Mashable.

When officials - not pranksters, mind you - make it look like that glass is shattering as you're walking over it, well, you have to think those chances sink to somewhere near zero percent.

Several panels of the bridge had shattered fragments of glass placed in one of the layers, allowing the effect of the glass to shatter under visitors' feet and sounds of glass breaking can also be heard when visitors walk across these panels. The sound of cracking glass is also piped in, to complete the terrifying effect.
