DC's Titans TV series casts Hawk & Dove

10 September 2017

Hawk and Dove are two superheroes empowered by the Lords of Order and Chaos, respectively, who fight crime.

Alan Ritchson has joined the cast of DC's upcoming live-action Titans series as Hank Hall aka Hawk.

Described as "the ideal example of opposites attract, Hawk is an aggressive, offensive bruiser, while Dove is strategic, defensive and lithe", the characters will appear as recurring guest stars in the first season, with an option to become series regulars in season two.

Take a former Texas cheerleader, pair her with a Hunger Games victor, and you have the flawless casting for the crime-fighting duo Dove and Hawk in the new Titans series. Alan Ritchson will be portraying Hawk and Minka Kelly has been confirmed as Dove. Both will be recurring roles, and producers are apparently eyeing a Hawk & Dove spinoff somewhere down the road.

Froome on the verge of historic Tour-Vuelta double
With four victories in France, this fifth grand tour victory takes Froome onto a different level in cycling's firmament. Nibali will likely not be waiting at the final climb to attack and he will try to dislodge Froome as early as possible.

Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe.

Casting began by naming Teagan Croft as Raven, then continued with Anna Diop cast as Starfire, and found their leading man with Brenton Thwaites cast as Dick Grayson. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

The series from Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind), Greg Berlanti (Arrow), Geoff Johns, and Sarah Schecter will be part of launching Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's branded direct-to-consumer digital service in 2018. According to Deadline, Ritchson, who played Arthur Curry aka Aquaman on Smallville and voiced Raphael in the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle films, has officially signed on for a reoccurring role on the show. Her other post-FNL TV credits include The Path, Almost Human, Charlie's Angels and Parenthood.
