Neymar finally cleared to make PSG debut against Guingamp

13 August 2017

With or without Neymar, PSG should come through as the victor against an average Ligue 1 side in Guingamp.

Friday afternoon, the French Football Federation announced that it has received the International Transfer Certificate from the Royal Spanish Football Federation, which was needed in order to make Neymar available for matches.

That certainty was expressed by head coach Unai Emery as he prepared PSG for the trip west to Brittany.

He said, "Everyone in the world will be watching, so it's also a really good platform for us as players that are unknown".

"The way we will adapt being close to a player like him... He's a player we need". However, having just signed a five-year contract with the Premier League squad in January, with no release clause, Liverpool has full say over his future.

"He has to take time to adapt to his new environment", said Emery, according to PSG's website.

This means Quickplay will focus on getting players into matches faster, and put less priority on matching skill levels. According to him, they have learned a lot from players who have entered Crucible and participated in the console Beta.

PSG are keen to partner Mbappe with Neymar in attack, which could see Edinson Cavani move out wide or drop to the bench, despite the Uruguayan's scoring 49 goals last season as the club's main striker.

The French side's owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has agreed to fund the move for Mbappe as he is desperate to see them win the Champions League.

The president of Barcelona Josep Maria Bartomeu has called into question the character of Neymar who chose to leave the club for PSG this summer.

Di Maria already has allies at the Nou Camp in the form of worldwide team-mates Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano and could be keen on a switch if he loses his place to Neymar with the World Cup coming up next summer. When you like competition, you like to play against the best.

It's unclear whom the team will choose (if anyone) to join stars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the front three, but soccer fans will likely be watching closely. "It's in this spirit that you do your job".
