Helicopter reportedly crashes in woods in Albemarle County

The crash happened in a wooden area near a home on Old Farm Road. "State police are on scene with Albemarle County police and fire units", reads the statement.

The Virginia State Police posted about the incident on their Facebook page, confirming two fatalities in the crash.

"Shortly before 5 p.m. today, a helicopter crashed into a wooded area near a residence on Old Farm Road".

Images from United States media show police embracing one another near the crash site. At least one person was killed and 19 injured when a auto plowed into a group of counter-protesters. The cause of the crash is under investigation, police say.
