SDCC 2017: The new Justice League trailer is here

23 July 2017

The trailer certainly looks impressive and seems to pay much more attention to Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman, who already seem like the early standouts. He's now hard at work on reshoots to finish the movie and will be working through post-production until the film is released. "I am thrilled to do it".

In Justice League, both heroes have come to know Superman and the city he swore to protect, and they're trying to figure out how to cope without him. For more on the upcoming superhero ensemble film, find out what DC Films co-head Geoff Johns told IGN about the impact that Wonder Woman's success has had on Justice League. And like his character in the comics, he doesn't exactly trust the surface dwellers.

With that out of the way, the new trailer played and then the cast took a few questions. Well, the trailer starts off with that. Crime has gone up, and apparently, Batman has gone missing. That said, Superman is not in this trailer, and this shot was inserted seemingly at random because at no point do we see the glacier aside from this half-second shot. Steppenwolf believes the Earth will fall, because it has "no Lanterns, no Kryptonian".

The Defenders: The Punisher Confirmed In Stan Lee-Narrated Teaser
That being said, they are interlaced with dialogue from the great Stan Lee and cap off with our first look at The Punisher . Marvel's The Defenders premieres globally on Netflix on August 18, 2017 at 12:01am PT.

Even the Batman mythos gets to poke fun at itself, thanks to Jeremy Irons' dry Alfred Pennyworth: "One misses the days when one's biggest concerns were exploding wind-up penguins", he notes. So let's get into the Q&A portion of the panel.

"Honestly, I think we're all gonna die", says Aquaman bluntly. After the polarizing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League hopes to unite the team and the fans. Current speculation is it's Superman, back from the dead.
