The Walking Dead Halts Production Due to On-Set Accident

Following Bernecker's injury, AMC has temporarily stopped production of the series until otherwise. The Hollywood Reporter has unconfirmed reports that his ventilator was withdrawn sometime overnight between Thursday evening and today.

Deadline's sources have reported that Bernecker fell 30 feet onto a concrete floor and has sustained a life-threatening head injury.

A stuntman for "The Walking Dead" has died after falling on the Georgia set of the hit television show.

A spokesperson for AMC paid tribute to John, who was just 33-years-old, in a recent statement. AMC released a statement yesterday explaining Bernecker was rushed to a hospital as production was temporarily halted.

Cast members such as Lauren Cohan asked for people to keep John in their prayers.

John had worked on a number of high-profile productions including The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay and True Detective.
